Thinking Makes It So

Shakespeare wrote that “things are neither good nor bad but thinking makes it so.”

While we would all agree that some things are objectively horrible and terrible like war, COVID-19, etc., the messaging of this poster reminds us of the power our thinking has on how we feel and behave. It is a very empowering message reminding all of us to choose ways of thinking that help us to manage our feelings, make good choices and to continue our learning.

Each poster measures 59cm long and 84cm wide.

I really like the new posters Michael, they are wonderful. I love the reimagining of the keys, the new images and the self-talk bubbles related to the positive attitudes.. Fantastic…. Windsor State School implemented YCDI! Education in 2011 and for the past 8 years, our school has successfully embedded the Early Years program (Prep) and Primary Program Achieve (Year 1-6). You Can Do It! Education has contributed significantly to strengthening our entire school culture since that time. By explicitly teaching the positive attitudes together with the negative attitudes to develop strategies to overcome blocker thinking, our students have become more confident, organised, persistent, resilient and more able to get along with each other, most of the time. Students now have a toolkit to resolve conflict when it inevitably arises.
